An Garda Síochána at Longford District have commenced operation Phoenix in support of the rejuvenation of Main St, Longford.
This operation is intended to deliver an increased visibility of Policing and will focus on patrols conducted in and around the main thoroughfares of Longford town. It is designed as a support to other actions that will be conducted on a multi-agency basis in consultation with key stakeholders.
The objective of this operation is to deliver a visible policing presence and engage with the public in respect of matters such as anti-social behaviour/ public order/theft from shop and illegal parking.
An Garda Síochána at Longford District are committed to ensuring the safety of the Longford community and keeping people safe.
A meeting has been arranged with Longford County Council, An Gardai Siochana, Longford Chamber of Commerce and Business Owners in Longford Town to discuss Operation Phoenix. The meeting will take place on Wednesday 3rd March at 9:30 and will take place via MSTeams.
